Steve Adams
OUR FOUNDER
Steve Adams has been directly involved in the medical transportation industry for more than 40 years. His career began in 1974 as an Emergency Medical Technician with the local ambulance service company in his hometown of Carrollton, Georgia. In 2000, Steve co-founded Southeastrans, now Verida, Inc., with the mission of specializing in broker management of Medicaid non-emergency transportation services. In that same year, Southeastrans was awarded a contract by the Georgia Department of Community Health to manage the Atlanta Medicaid NEMT Region, leading to the improvement of quality and reliability of transportation services within the Atlanta area. He quickly became recognized as a leader in the NEMT industry throughout the southeast.
Adams’ connection to Tanner Health System runs deep, not only did he work for Tanner, but his mother, two sisters and two brother did as well. Adams is a long time board member of the Tanner Medical Center Authority Board, as well as several other organizations in the human service and healthcare fields in Carroll County. Adams is also a member of the Tanner Medical Foundation Board.
With a heart of innovation, Steve is an engaged leader who likes to personally get to know his clients and hear directly about their needs and what is important to them. He has devoted years of service to local, state, civic, and health care organizations in Georgia and other communities Verida serves across the country.
